She falls for a perceived bad boy, and they start a romance reminiscent of everyone's teen years—stupid, flirty phone conversations; folded love notes on ruled paper; passing each other in the hallways at school; first kisses; being consumed with thoughts and desires; etc. When she confirms her love interest has a dark secret, she haphazardly chooses to pursue him anyway.
